  • 35 hackers participated, bringing together a diverse group of developers and builders to collaborate and create innovative solutions during the hackathon.

  • Participants formed 8 teams, working closely together to ideate, build, and deliver impactful projects within a limited timeframe.

  • Attendees represented 8 companies and partner agencies, including Virgin Media O2, Wind And Kite, Nearform, Barclays Bank, Ridgeway, Unified, Major Digital, and Cloudroit.

  • Teams built innovative projects in just 30 hours, showcasing rapid prototyping, creativity, and strong technical execution under time pressure

  • Supported by 10+ mentors, judges, and speakers, providing guidance, feedback, and expertise throughout the entire hackathon journey

  • All projects were powered by Storyblok, demonstrating what’s possible with modern composable architecture.

  • 01 Who can participate?

    Anyone! Developers, marketers, content editors — anyone interested in building with Storyblok is welcome to apply.

  • 02 What can I build?

    Anything creative using Storyblok! You can choose from our predefined problem statements to bring your own ideas to life.

  • 03 What is the last date to apply?

    Applications close on June 15, 2026 for Amsterdam Hackathon and on July 8, 2026 for New York Hackathon. Make sure to apply before the deadline!

  • 04 How can I create/join a team?

    We’ll help you form or join a team during the in-person hackathon. Teams of up to 3 are allowed.

  • 05 Will there be mentors?

    Yes! Our mentors — including Storyblok team members and MVPs — will be available throughout the event to support you with technical help, idea validation, and guidance.

  • 06 How will judging work?

    Projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on

    • Innovation & Creativity: Original and unique approach that addresses a clear problem.
    • Execution & Complexity: Depth of implementation, code quality, and technical challenge involved.
    • Use of Storyblok: Effective and meaningful integration of Storyblok in the project.
    • Ease of Use: A user-friendly experience with clear design, documentation, and intuitive flow.
  • 07 What are the prizes?

    The total prize pool is of $10,000* and it is awarded across four categories:

    • Grand Prize — Best Overall Project ($2,000): Awarded to the team that builds the most innovative and impactful project during the hackathon.
    • Runner-Up — Second Best Overall Project ($1,000): Awarded to a team that delivers an outstanding project demonstrating strong creativity and technical execution.
    • FlowMotion Automation — Best Workflow Innovation ($1,000): Awarded to the project that best showcases automation workflows built using Storyblok FlowMotion. (Open to teams with FlowMotion access.)
    • MCP Innovation — Best MCP Server Project ($1,000): Awarded to the most creative project leveraging the Storyblok MCP Server to build innovative integrations or developer tools.
